You’ve probably heard of essential oils before. You’ve seen them around your natural food stores, online or you may own some or know someone who might use them religiously. Most of us know essential oils are good in some way , but are not aware of the science behind it or the potential they actually have to heal.
There are multiple ways to use essential oils, but here I will cover the method I use and what I think about it 🙂
Topical Essential Oils
This method of application is topical, meaning you can apply the essential oil straight on the skin. Depending on the oil you might need to mix it in with a carrier oil such as almond, coconut, jojoba.. In order for the solution to go gentle on your skin.
How it works
Our skin is our biggest organ in our body, anything that is applied on it will make its way to your bloodstream in less than 30 seconds. This is the transdermal process. Once the essential oil has entered the bloodstream, they travel to whatever organ or system they work for. For this reason, wherever your veins are closer to the skin ( your pulsating points) are good locations to apply essential oils.
- Most medication that is swallowed, will have to go through different organs before it actually reaches your bloodstream. Ever felt pain, taken pain medication and had to wait around 30 minutes for the pain to actually subside? Essential oils work fast and effective with all natural herbs, plants/flowers based properties. *Side note* This goes for everything else that is applied on our skin, that’s why being extra careful with chemicals in skincare product is so important!
Another way you can apply essential oils is on the Vita Flex Points.
Vita Flex means vitality through the reflexes. These are reflex points around your body that affect your internal body systems. Similar to how acupuncture works, these points can be used as an index to another part of the body. Since the body is made up of electrical pathways and essential oils have electromagnetic frequencies, they work great together. Once the essential oil is placed at a vita flex point, the electrical impulse helps the essential oil to travel down the nerve pathway and support the destined body systems. This might sound super different , it’s been a technique used for centuries in Tibet and has been practiced in the United States since 1920. For an example, if an oil is placed on the side of you pinky toe, it can help send healing signals to the ear! ( I know, there is so much about our magical bodies that we don’t even know about).
My thoughts on why we know so little about this is because if more people knew, there would be less visits to the doctors/hospital, less synthetic drugs bought and less money flowing into the pockets of the industry behind pharmaceutical drugs ( a massive industry).
So I say we outsmart them and learn about our bodies, how we can heal ourselves without the need to intoxicate our gentle bodies with chemicals and drugs.
